Practical Homeschooling Magazine's i-Learn Awards & Reader Awards
Every year, Practical Homeschooling requests reader nominations for our famous i-Learn and Reader Awards.
Our i-Learn Awards™ are for interactive curriculum: software and online.
Our Reader Awards™ are for traditional "hold it in your hands" curriculum: print (workbook, textbook, etc.), DVDs, CDs, and anything else that isn't interactive.
Once the nominations are completed, thousands of homeschoolers cast their votes for the curriculum they have used, in dozens of categories. Votes are based on satisfaction, not just on how many votes are cast for a product. Homeschoolers score products they have used from 1 (terrible) to 10 (the very best). The curricula with the highest satisfaction ratings are the winners. So you'll know our winning products are those your fellow homeschoolers LOVE!
Our two Awards issues are the best and only way to easily find out what thousands of your fellow homeschoolers actually recommend as "the best" in all these curriculum categories, from their own experience:

Testimonials
“I don’t know what I’d do without you! As a former teacher, and now a homeschooling mother, I rely on your magazine to offer a wide range of educational topics. I’ve learned more from your columnists than I did in college for my education degree !”
“Practical Homeschooling is ‘down to earth’, informative, and interesting! When I see it in my mailbox I know it’s going to be a good day! I love it!”
“I’ve been reading PHS since we started homeschooling in 1996. I shared those old issues with new homeschoolers because of the great information. PHS continues to give me great ideas to try and encouragement from the Letters section each month.”
“Our family is in our 5th year of homeschooling. I grab the latest issue of PHS as soon as it arrives at our local library. Thanks for all the informative articles. I especially love ‘A Day at Our House.'”
“I’ve been reading PHS since the premier issue (HOW long ago was that?) and always find it brimming over with encouragement and great articles. A Day at Our House and Letters from Readers are my favorite parts of the magazine!”
“I love PHS! Living in a small town so far from a large city PHS is my source of encouragement!! I always seem to read something that was just what I needed to hear. I hate it when I get to the last page!”
“I’ve been reading your publication for years. We haven’t been able to homeschool our son full-time, but thanks to your magazine, we are supplementing his education. Thank you for this valuable resource!”
“I absolutely love PHS! It is the definitive magazine for homeschoolers. I eagerly await each issue and devour it, from cover to cover, the day it arrives in my mailbox.”
“Your information on how to teach, such as letting the child explore a new toy was very helpful for parents of very young children. I have already recommended your books to several of my friends with children under age 2.”
“When we began homeschooling in Ohio, our state organization gave out sample copies of PHS at the annual convention. Shortly after that we subscribed and have been avid readers ever since. It is a great magazine.”
